What if Virgil had a spider onesie

• He got it before he learned of Pat’s fear
• Spiders are his favorite
• (They are very important to the food chain but everyone hates them)
• ((No he doesn’t relate why would he?))
• He learned that everyone else has a onesie based on their favorite animal
• So he wanted to “fit in”
• When he was done making it he only wore it in his room when he was especially anxious
• Once he went to the kitchen to grab his weekly food supply (a few snacks and a Gatorade)
• But he saw Patton hiding on the counter while Roman was “vanquishing” a jumping spider
• Patton noticed him after the spider was dead
• But only as he was headed back upstairs
• V almost threw out the onesie
• Cut to after Accepting Anxiety and he’s invited to a sleepover in Roman’s room with the others
• He’s required to have a onesie
• (“Who doesn’t wear a onesie to a sleepover, dark and moody?”)
• He doesn’t want to be left out, but he doesn’t want Pat to think he’s a monster for liking spiders
• Logically, he should just poof a new one that’s like a ghost or something, but he’s proud of that onesie
• So he goes without it
• Ro and Pat start pouting that he’s not “joining the fun”
• After some hesitation he poofs it on
• Patton screams
• V immediately poofs back to his hoodie and leaves
• (He might have stumbled out and ran but who paid attention?)
• ((Patton knocked on the door for days))
• (((Virgil should have known Patton would think he’s a monster)))
• V spends the time replacing most of his spider decor
• When he comes out of his room he won’t look the others in the eye
• (Monsters aren’t allowed respect)

Finish the story I don’t know endings

i did intend to finish this but i didnt know how so i just ended up adding more angst with a little bit of fluff uhh someone add on or just ignore me

• when virgil comes back out of his room patton keeps tries trying to apologise, but for a while virgil avoids it every time
• (hes afraid of what patton is going to say)
• finally the other three manage to corner him, to finally talk to him
• (virgil’s terrified, perhaps unrealistically, but hes cornered and he knows he upset patton, and roman always talks about how he vanquishes monsters, and isn’t that what they think he is? a monster?)
• so he blurts out an apology 
• ‘hes sorry for liking spiders, and he knows he shouldnt like them because patton is afraid of them, so they have to be bad, but he always felt like they were misunderstood and they never hurt him and he related to them, so he didnt understand why they were bad. but he knew patton was afraid, yet he wore the spider onesie anyway and he scared them with it, which meant he was bad too, and just- he was sorry for being a monster, please dont hate him.’
• patton, logan and roman are shocked into silence for a while, and virgil almost ducks out again
• then patton lunges forward and pulls him into a tight hug
• virgil tenses up, his hands flying into the air, because he doesn’t know what to do. why is patton hugging him? aren’t they mad at him?
• but patton is apologising into his shoulder, and then roman and logan are crowding forward, awkwardly reaching out to embrace him, both also spouting apologies, and virgil has no idea what is going on.
• patton lifts his head off virgil’s shoulder so he can speak clearly, but doesnt let him go
