I once had a friend wo I considered my best friend, but then she got into a romantic relationship and it broke my heart, because even though we were still doing things together, i know that i will never be as important to her as her romance interest. And that applies for every alloromantic non-romance repulsed person.

I once was talking to someone and I thought that we were friends until they told me that they don’t know what else to say because “they are only talking to their friends and are not good at talking to people they’re not close with” and that broke my heart so much. Tbh I’m also pretty bad at talking to people i’m not close with but the thing is, that i thought that we were friends.

This goes out to all the aros that have had similar experiences. To all the aros that have ever thought that they will never be the first priority without being in a romantic relationship. To all the struggeling aros.

You are worth it. You are and will be loved. No matter if you want to find another aro you can be the first priority of, or if you want to keep your and don’t want to “loose” your friends go romance.
