I hate that it’s a controversial opinion to say that trans representation should be in children’s media or that kids should be taught that trans people exist and that it’s ok. I think if you’re supportive of gay representation in cartoons, then you should be supportive of trans representation in cartoons. The topic of being transgender shouldn’t be a topic we tip toe around when we’re talking to kids.

true. there’s no harm in letting kids know that trans people exist. hopefully cartoons in the near future will have more canon trans characters that some kids may even relate to.
