at least as many who end up avoiding interests, subjects, professions, and media they love because male dominated cultures makes it clear women aren’t welcome or safe…
anyway, sexism is engrained in human culture and costs individuals a crazy amount of time, money, and energy, on top of being incredibly exhausting. so yeah keep that in mind next time you interact with women-aligned people…
especially if you’re a man in a male dominated space: the difference starts with you and the behavior you’re willing to tolerate in your peers. “see something, say something” is real life application of “with great power comes great responsibility.”
