- but it’s like unorthodox shiny stuff for a dragon
- like this really smooth and shiny rock from a river bed
- a broken CD he found
- a piece of stained glass that hits the light just right
- it’s just
- anything shiny he can get his claws on
- he’s very protective about his hoard and doesn’t like anyone near it
- except for his friend patton since patton doesn’t like shiny stuff the way he does
- roman has no idea why though shiny things are amazing
- sometimes little kids will come to his cave and while he’s not crazy about it, he loves showing off everything he’s collected since they’re such good listeners
- a lot of the kids return regularly to see what he’s gotten since they last came
- patton hoards clothes
- clearly he can’t fit them
- but he likes the way they look
- and when a wayward human gets lost he can give them something to wear
- he hoards less for himself and more for the humans that mysteriously find his cave
- (his cave isn’t very well hidden and most everyone knows he’s a really nice dragon)
- one time someone came to his cave and offered to make him a quilt from all the clothes he felt he wouldn’t like individually
- it’s a thank you from one of the people he saved
- he gets so excited he can’t stop telling his friends roman and logan about it even when it’s finished
- (it takes a while but he’s patient)

- but he’s much more organized than roman or patton
- it’s like a library the way the books are stacked around his cave
- he has a special place for textbooks
- many many college students come to his cave hearing he has book, just looking for something to help them out
- he loans them any book they might need for their course
- free of charge, though he memorizes the names and faces of those he lent them to
- the students are so grateful (anyone in college gets this), they come back and make him an actual bookshelf and it’s one he can use
- from then on it’s not just college students but anyone looking for a good book and place to read
- many times his cave will get crowded so he goes to his friend virgil’s for some quiet
- Virgil hoards pictures/painting
- he knows it’s kinda weird
- but hear him out what about the people that want them back
- the mountains were cold and they could very easily get damaged
- so he saves them from the weather, keeps them safe deep in his cave
- anyone who comes by is usually sent from patton or logan
- they both knew how he kept them
- although any human who came by his cave never dared to enter
- it could have been because his cave was underground or it could have been how the only thing they could see in the dark were his dark purple eyes
- either way no one dared come in
- for the most part he didn’t mind since patton could come get the pictures/painting
- there was, weirdly, one person who didn’t mind coming into his cave
- a weird human named remy found his cave and decided that it could be a good place to nap
- (virgil was too baffled to wake him up or even ask what he was doing)
- from there remy took it upon himself to get the pictures/paintings distributed to anyone who came by and slowly the two became friends
There’s probably gonna be more where this came from but this is what i have for now because dragons are my fave and this au has my heart already
